Come treat yourself to the soothing, meditative prayers and anthems set in this wonderful Anglican choral tradition.  Evensong, or Evening Prayer, dates back in its current form to the English Reformation, but is derived from services in the earliest Christian communities dating back to the medieval period, which began in the 5th Century.  In some English churches and University chapels, it continues to be held every day.

Here at St. Paul’s, we open ourselves to Evensong as a time to reflect on the “ending of the day” in our lives, recognizing the multiple layers of meaning that this may hold for each of us.  We will gather outside the church before the service for the choral prelude, the ringing of the bells, the opening prayers, and our candlelight processional into the church.
