Join us for the soothing, meditative prayers and anthems set in this wonderful Anglican choral tradition on All Saints Day, Sunday, November 1st at 5:00pm. Evensong, or Evening Prayer, dates back in its current form to the English Reformation, but is derived from services in the earliest Christian communities dating back to the medieval period, which began in the 5th Century. In some English churches and University chapels, it is held every day. Here at St. Paul's, Evensong is a time to reflect on the "ending of the day" in our lives, recognizing the multiple layers of meaning that this may hold for each of us. Bring a candle for yourself and one for a friend to light outside the church before the service in preparation for our candlelight processional.

The choral music planned includes the following:
- Day is dying in the west, A. Clarkson
- Eternal light, L. Sowerby
- Bogoroditsye Dyevo, S. Rachmaninov
- God be in my head, J. Rutter
- Now the day is over, J. Barnby
See you there!
