Choral Lenten Invitation

  • St. Paul's Episcopal Church 15 St. Paul Street Brookline, MA 02446 (map)

Each year at St. Paul’s Brookline we hold a special Choral Lenten Invitation Service on the Sunday evening before the beginning of Lent.  The service is offered in hopes of inviting us back into this remarkable story of Jesus’ journey with us into the wilderness, through the most contemplative and reflective time in the church year.

As part of this service, the St. Paul’s Choir will sing the Mozart Requiem. Contemporary readings and prayers are gathered from a variety of sources and combined with the more traditional words of anthems and the Requiem to invite us to re-engage our hearts and minds with the questions and choices, the temptations and disciplines, the hope and love that are at the core of this Lenten journey.  All are welcome — we hope you will join us.
