 Pastoral Care

The clergy of the parish are the primary contacts for pastoral care at St. Paul’s.  However, every parishioner can and does offer care and compassion to others, which is the function of the Pastoral Care Team.

Highlights of the ministries provided by the pastoral care team are:

  • The Parish Prayer List is maintained by the Clergy with the help of our Parish Administrator.

  • We send out Birthday Cards to all parishioners who have their birthdays in the directory.

  • The team coordinates volunteers who send Easter and Christmas Cards to those who can’t easily get to church.

  • Those who have suffered the loss of a loved one are sent a bereavement card

  • We provide visits and cooked dinners for St. Paul’s families with newborns when needed and/or desired.

  • We also coordinate the provision food and companionship for those members of the parish who are home-bound due to illness or who have had recent losses.

  • We call, visit and assist fellow parishioners in any other way that meets their needs.  This assistance can run the gamut from fixing a light bulb to accompanying a parishioner to a doctor’s appointment.

  • We have a team of Lay Eucharistic Visitors; members bring Holy Communion to parishioners who are unable to attend church.

  • St. Paul's has a Knitting Ministry; members make prayer shawls for those who are in need of healing prayer and baby hats for newborn members of the congregation.

  • And, while a part of our Worship Team, the Healing Ministry of the Parish is a key element of our Pastoral Care.
